EDDM

EDDM is a U.S. Postal Service program developed to help businesses get their promotions and advertisements into the hands of a targeted audience, while reducing the cost of preparing and delivering mailing campaigns.

It's the perfect solution for businesses large and small, allowing you to target homes in your area or across the country. No mailing list or postage permit is required, which saves you time and money. We have a Print Only option, where we print the pieces and you handle the rest of the process with USPS.

Please note: EDDM orders must meet "commercial flat" specifications and all other USPS requirements. Our EDDM Full Service templates make these specifications easy to adhere to.
See our EDDM Page

First, enter a street address or zip code for the area you are interested in. The map will display all of the USPS carrier routes in a radius of 1 mile by default. You may expand the radius using the drop down menu on right above the map. Select different routes on the map by clicking on the route on the map; it will highlight to indicate it is selected. Deselect a route by clicking on it again. If you prefer, click List View on the bottom right, then use the check boxes to the left of each route to select or deselect the route. The list view panel shows the number of Residential and Business addresses on each route and income demographics. There is also a check box to choose Residential Only, if you prefer to exclude business addresses. This panel also shows the current total for your order, including postage based on the routes you selected.

Flags

Feather and Teardrop Flags: Text and graphics should be placed at least 0.5" from the edge of the hem for safety. Artwork can be wrapped around the pole, but again keep important elements clear of the pole pocket seam and the hems.

Bleed: ensure you have 0.5" on all sides of your artwork, do not add crops.

Pole Flags: Text and graphics should be placed at least 0.5" from the edge of the hem for safety. 4over will professionally hand sew 0.5" hems around the Pole Flag.

Bleed: ensure you have 0.5" on all sides of your artwork, do not add crops.

Download and use our flag templates to ensure your artwork is set-up correctly.

Flags are printed using superior quality dye sublimation equipment on lightweight 3oz polyester. Pole Flags have an additional Reinforced Grommet Strip made of canvas on either the left or right side of the flag for wind resistance.

Yes, the 3oz polyester flag material is flame resistant under normal conditions. Avoid exposure to open flame and exceedingly high temperatures. Avoid exposure to strong oxidizers, bases, and acids.

No, the actual flag material is approximately 1.5 to 2 feet shorter than the height of the flag when assembled on the flag pole.

The actual flag pole hardware is the height advertised, however the installed flag will be shorter depending on installation, stand type and the tension applied to the fabric and cord.

The difference between the jumbo and regular feather flag is the width of the flag.

  • Feather Flag Jumbo is 34" wide
  • Feather Flag Regular is 29" wide

Yes, the indoor hardware includes a water bag which sits on the top of the cross base and adds weight and stability for outdoor use on hard surfaces such as concrete and asphalt. It is recommended that you test your specific application.

Feather Flags: shaped like a feather.

General

Yes, but if the border is too close to the cutline, it may be cut off-center slightly. Our printers cut through many sheets at a time, so watch your borders to avoid an unwanted mistake.

Files submitted are printed HEAD to HEAD as-is based off your files. Make sure to set up your files so that when we print them HEAD to HEAD the final product will read the way you would like.
Also, front and back files need to be set up either both sides vertically or both sides horizontally. For files not properly set up, We will use best judgment and will not be responsible for improper rotation.

Please don't send proofs or samples, this can confuse the process and we are not responsible for errors.

Unless we request multiple files in one document (as may be the case for catalogs) then we require one print ready file per side. For example business card files should be named filename_front.pdf , filename_back.pdf etc.

We do not color match, any files supplied with Pantone colors will be converted to CMYK. Products printed on different substrates with variable coating etc will produce slightly different colors.

No - each order / print run is for one file only. For example if you order 2500 business cards, they must be all the same information.

Next business day turnaround means your print job will be printed the next business day if ordered and approved before 9.00 am EST. If you order after 9.00 EST you cannot count that day in the turnaround. So if you order 2.00pm on Tuesday the order will print and ship by end of business on Thursday. If your file is the wrong size, resolution or color mode this will delay printing.

This is not a guaranteed service and although 99% of orders are processed next business day, there can be delays due to mechanical issues etc as well as shipping.

Please be aware that we are not responsible for time sensitive materials and their delivery. Save time and money by ordering ahead. Business days means Monday to Friday and does not include weekends or holidays.

Preliminaries

Online Printing System is a prepress process that bridges the gap between online digital content and commercial print production. The process allows a print house, a client or a graphic designer to create, edit, and approve computer-based online templates during the prepress phase. This process increasingly calls for a Portable Document Format (PDF) workflow environment with output provided by digital printing.

This solution will make your company run more efficiently and profitably by streamlining your business processes, maximizing your resources and eliminating redundant operations.

Payment

You may pay by check by selecting this option in the checkout, please note we will have to wait for the check to clear our bank before printing your order which will delay production.

Pricing

No, the price list indicates basic prices of products against the speculative quantities. The prices are calculated with regard to the most basic paper/card types, sizes and single side printing. As you know, the final printing cost depends on many parameters: paper/card weights or thickness (GSM/Pt), glossy or matt finish, 2 or 4 colors, square or rounded corners, single or double side printing, quantity, destination shipping charges and the mode of transport. Please use the indicative prices for calculating the cost.
Each product page will give you the final price based on the options selected (before any applicable sales tax or shipping costs).

Printing

We recommend saving as a .PDF
You may also send the file in the following types: psd, tif, tiff and eps (the file types are indicated on the upload box) We prefer that you send .PDF and .EPS files with outlined fonts. These files are easier to handle and will likely speed up your turn-around. Remember to add crop marks and flatten your files before uploading (where applicable).

Templates
Our Certified Templates are a great tool to create artwork that can be printed faster, easier, and more accurately. If you are using Illustrator, you can use our specialized EPS templates. If you are using something other than Illustrator, download the JPG version. Here is what each of the lines mean inside the template:

Faq

Here is what an 8.5x11 brochure template looks like:

Faq

These templates will help you identify where the cut line, bleed line, and safety line, are located along with other information so you can design your art correctly. Some of our templates are labeled as OUT and IN. This means that there is some folding involved with the template. OUT means the FRONT of the job and IN means the BACK. During the upload part of your order, remember that OUT is the FRONT and IN is the BACK. Here is an example.

Faq
As you can see, OUT is the FRONT of the job and after folding, will be facing outward. You can also see the rotation of the job. The front must be positioned upside down so it can fold correctly. Remember, do not move or change any part of the template when using them.

CMYK
If you send us an RGB file, there is a chance that a color shift may occur and you may not be satisfied with your job. We are not responsible for files supplied in RGB.

Bleed
Printed colors that extend past the edge of a page. To cut the job to its actual size the processor has to make sure the job gets printed with 1/8 of an inch bleed some jobs may require more than that. For example if the job is a business card (3.5" x 2") the file size with bleed would be (3.625" x 2.125"). See our what is bleed page for more details.

For regular printing your files should be 300 dpi files and no less, files below 300dpi may be blurry or pixelated. 300dpi is print quality.
The exception to this is for large format , if using a raster program (like Photoshop) you can use 150dpi as the item will be viewed from a distance. However we recommend using a vector program like Illustrator for banners and sign as this is scalable with no resolution loss.

For most products we have supplied a template, a link to those can be found with each product.
If a template is not supplied in general a 0.125 bleed is required (that's 0.0625 on each side) this is generally smaller than other printers and it is important your files meet the bleed requirements.
For example a 4 x 6 postcard has to be sent as a 4.125 x 6.125 document or a business card that is 2 x 3.5 should be sent as a 2.125 x 3.625 file.
Please keep all text and anything you do not want cut at least .125" away from the cut line.

We prefer you to name your files in a way that indicates how they are to be printed, for example projectname_trifold_inside.pdf. This saves any confusion when printed. However our system will indicate the files and their setup by default but a good file name is a best practice.

When using a blue in your design, always make sure to leave at least a 30% difference in your Cyan and Magenta values. 100% C 100% M 0% Y 0% K
Blue is close to purple in the CMYK spectrum. Remember, use a low amount of magenta whenever using high amounts of cyan to avoid purple. Example: C-100 M-70 Y-0 k-0

Rich black is an ink mixture of solid black, 100% K, with additional CMY ink values. This results in a darker tone than black ink alone. If you print black alone as 100% K, the resulting black may not be as dark as you might like.
We recommend using C 60 M 40 Y 40 K 100 This will give you a deep, dark, rich black.

Any transparency issue can be resolved before saving your file.

What a transparency problem looks like on screen.

Transparency Example

After a transparency problem is printed...

To prevent this, never use shadows, glows, or any other transparency (image or otherwise) on top of a spot color. Always convert your spot color to CMYK and flatten before sending. All of these effects will cause transparency problems. Primarily used to intentionally overlap inks for a number of reasons, overprint can cause unexpected results. We suggest that you turn all overprint objects off before submitting your files.

Overprint Issues

In this case the logo was set to overprint. The colors from logo are mixing with the colors from the background. Unexpected results may occur if you have accidentally set certain objects to overprint. Always check logos and other artwork before submitting.

If you send in a job with Pantone colors, the CMYK conversion will change the Pantone color. Before sending your order, make sure all Pantone colors have been converted to CMYK.

Pantone colors can cause transparency issues where transparency shows up as white as well as other non desirable issues..
Pantone colors can affect your order is the color conversion between a Pantone color and CMYK. If you use Pantone colors in a job that will print CMYK, your job might print with undesirable colors.

Our system supports RGB (red, green, blue) for producing digital prints. We have accurately mapped color pallet to match RGB to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key) to ensure proper 4-color printing.

300 dpi (dots per inch) is the resolution of the output PDF file.

We use offset printing, which provides the highest quality of print material for both text and images.

Products

The site currently supports major and popular print products as listed. We will be adding more products and options to our large range.

There are three options for designing and customizing a product. Click a product on the left-hand panel and choose one of the options.

1. Custom Design: lets you customize the products. Click it to open the design studio and use multiple tools to create your own design.

2. Upload Design: using this option, you can upload your own JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, EPS, AI, PDF and PSD images.

3. Browse Design: use this to select hundreds of pre-loaded templates. Work on them or customize them through our design studio.

The paper used for writing/printing (letterheads and such stationery) is generally between 70 lb and is called the paper or text stock. Anything heavier than this is considered the card stock, i.e. the paper used for business cards, postcards, greeting cards, etc and is usually 14 or 16pt. There are many other wights and options , check each product for substrate options.

Coated papers are available in multiple finishes – glossy (shiny and smooth) and matt (flat and lusterless). Coated glossy papers reflect the light evenly so they are suitable for almost all types of printing jobs. Glossy papers have a good ink holdout, which is important for creating sharp, bright images. Other options like silk , satin and aqeous coating are available.
